Attack on Titan episode 1 Review

There seems to be an unspoken rule that all writers know but don't talk about. I've started noticing this rule more and more often in the comic community and now in anime. Bruce Wayne became Batman because his parents died and Peter Parker became Spider-man because his parents and uncle died and Clark Kent became Superman because his whole planet died (with his parents on it)...Are you getting my point here? In order to become a hero, your parents must die. The more dramatic the better the motivation for you to revenge their deaths. I'm not saying that killing your parents will make you a hero or anything, I'm just saying that it's very popular among (imaginary)heroes...

I love how in the first episode of Attack on Titan you see everyone's face and they're all so still and have a look of shock and terror on their face. Then we see this big, no HUGE human-like-looking-thing-with-no-skin-all-muscle and no wonder everyone looks so afraid. This human-like-looking-thing-with-no-skin-all-muscle may be fit but he's ugly and I'm not even being mean, it's a fact! Look for yourselves!

The opening song for this show is soooooo good and fits the series perfectly! I remember singing it in class but I couldn't remember the lyrics because they are in Japanese. The animation is beautiful and perfect, a little too perfect at times; I wish they didn't put such detail on the human-like-looking-things-with-no-skin-all-muscle. I personally don't need to see all the blood and bone smashing when the human-like-looking-thing-with-no-skin-all-muscle eat their prey, I really don't! Epically when...

SPOILER ALERT

Eren's mom died. Even when this is my second time watching this anime I still can't help myself from crying and the blood splatters don't help! This anime is very dramatic and I don't see how it wouldn't. I mean imagine these huge human-like-looking-thing-with-no-skin-all-muscle monsters roaming through your city eating PEOPLE! No, not your dog, not power plants (etc.) but PEOPLE! I also love the ending song it's just so beautiful! <3 Overall this anime is starting out pretty good and I'll highly recommend it.
